Abortion Pill by Mail (China & Mexico)

The FDA strongly discourages ordering the abortion pill online due to potential safety concerns. Pills obtained from online providers may not be FDA-approved and could pose risks such as being counterfeit, expired, or contaminated. Seeking advice from a licensed medical professional is recommended. https://www.fda.gov/drugs/postmarket-drug-safety-information-patients-and-providers/information-about-mifepristone-medical-termination-pregnancy-through-ten-weeks-gestation

A medical clinic would check health history, medication counter indication, blood pressure, and provide follow up care. When working with a doctor if something goes wrong or if you have questions, a medical professional who knows your health history is there to help.

Abortion pills purchased online from another country may not meet the FDA standards or provide medical support. Some distributors of online abortions will advise you to lie to the ER room doctors. Never lie to your doctors. They are there to help you, not judge you.

What are the Risks for women?

There are complications when taking RU-486 or “The abortion pill” that you should be aware of.

Before taking the abortion pill, your healthcare provider needs to review your medical history. There are risks to taking this medication to end a pregnancy. They are as follows:

1. The pill can negatively interact with certain medications.

2. Incomplete abortion, which may need to be followed by a surgical abortion. An incomplete abortion means the pregnancy is still in place and did not respond to the drugs. Heavy bleeding, hemorrhage, a drop in blood pressure, and anemia could happen as a result.

3. Damage to the uterus – Rupturing or tearing of the uterus has been reported when the abortion pill has been used after the eighth week of pregnancy. This damage can cause severe bleeding, death, or require a hysterectomy.

4. Infection and septic shock – The risks of infection and septic shock are potentially life-threatening after a medical abortion. Sepsis is a medical emergency that occurs when an infection enters your bloodstream. The most common causes of septic shock after medical abortion are pregnancy tissue remaining in the uterus and uterine infection.

5. Severe pain – The abortion pill medication used in combination with second abortion pill causes uterine cramping to expel the pregnancy, which can cause severe pain. The majority of women experience this pain.

The abortion pill is not an option for women with certain health conditions, such as women in their second or third trimester, or if the pregnancy is not viable. Book an appointment today to confirm your pregnancy and verify how far along you are.

Serious risk can occur for the following conditions:

  • have an ectopic pregnancy (a pregnancy outside of the uterus)
  • have problems with the adrenal glands (the glands near the kidneys)
  • are currently being treated with long-term corticosteroid therapy (medications)
  • have had an allergic reaction to mifepristone, misoprostol or similar drugs
  • have bleeding problems or are taking anticoagulant (blood thinning) drug products
  • have inherited porphyria (a rare disorder that can affect the liver and other organs)
  • have an intrauterine device (IUD) in place (it must be removed before taking the abortion pill)
